Rebecca, more commonly known as Becca, is a PR intern that joined the Publicity Seekers in April 2017 for a work experience placement and has since continued on as part of the PR team due to her immense enjoyment in the role and fitting right in with the rest of the staff.
In her role, Rebecca primarily focuses on researching tasks using data sciences such as monitoring client data, gathering competitor analysis and analysing social media statistics. However, she has also been involved with producing content for press releases and social media, as well as helping in the marketing of client events.
Rebecca is in the midst of completing her Master’s degree in Digital Media and Communications at Teesside University where she has gained knowledge in writing press content, filming and editing promotional videos, as well as implementing PR research techniques. She is currently working on a dissertation around the topic of Political Communication and is planning to publish a number of academic writings around this subject in the future.
Rebecca has also achieved a first class degree in Multimedia Journalism, which enabled her to get a National Council for the Training of Journalists (NTCJ) accredited qualification, as well as a qualification in Marketing Insights.
Before joining the team at Publicity Seekers, Rebecca gained experience in a variety of different media environments including newspaper journalism, museum PR and political marketing where she was responsible for working on campaigns, liaising with media clients and producing written content.
In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys watching movies/TV shows and going to the cinema, and confesses to being a massive Star Wars fan. Rebecca has recently started to aim for a minimalistic lifestyle and began her own blog to chronicle her minimalism journey.
